Aviation Fuel

Enhanced fixed roof tank protection

Fixed roof tanks handling aviation fuel require coordinated protection across venting and transfer scenarios. The system configuration shown here brings together frost proof pressure and vacuum Dépression Vacuum is the pressure in an enclosed space that is lower than the ambient pressure. protection, controlled vapor displacement, and explosion prevention measures to support safe filling and emptying operations and dependable tank farm performance with ultra low tank vent emissions.
Within the tank, floating suction units ensure that product in a storage tank is drawn off just below the surface of the liquid where it is cleanest. This prevents water from condensation which floats on the fuel, and sediment at the bottom of the tank from being pulled into the discharge line reducing the risk of contaminated fuel.

Highlights

Coordinated Protection
Ensuring safety during venting and transfer of aviation fuel in fixed roof tanks.
Pressure and Vacuum Relief
Providing robust relief measures to maintain stability in tank operations.
Vapor Control
Managed vapor displacement supports safe filling and emptying processes.
